The next morning found a search party exploring the area around the waterfall. Laguz had sailed the search party up to the waterfall, where they had all disembarked and climbed the steep hill up to a lake above. #futharkvillage @MjolnirForge @blithgunde @MightySigurd

When Laguz inspected the waterfall, he found that it was part of a dam. The stones were covered in intricate carvings of fish, beavers, and water snakes. It was clearly dwarven-made: the stones were fitted together perfectly, without mortar.#futharkvillage @wing_paranormal

Laguz looked out at the search party, spread out around the lake. There were six tributaries that would need to be searched, spreading out in every direction. Each member of the party would explore one: Laguz, Perthro, Algiz, Eiwaz, Thurisaz, and Raidho. #futharkvillage

Eiwaz climbed a tree, hoping to see where the tributaries went. Before he reached the top, he caught sight of Wunjo, splashing in the lake and having a good time. Her joy made Eiwaz smile.

Then he mentally turned his heart to wood and kept climbing.#futharkvillage @Apez140
From the top of the tree, Eiwaz looked down and saw that Thurisaz had lost his temper again and was hitting everything within reach with his hammer: trees, rocks, bushes, even the ground.

Eiwaz looked away and saw Algiz walking through the trees.#futharkvillage @ILupine
From his vantage, Eiwaz could see that the stream on which Laguz was rowing would soon rejoin that which Perthro was paralleling on foot; there was only a long island between the two streams. Eiwaz's own allotted stream stretched off toward the mountains.#futharkvillage

Having seen what there was to see, Eiwaz descended and jogged along his stream toward the mountains. He took one last look at Wunjo happily swimming, then looked away and got to work.#futharkvillage @rhipossessed @Hyrrokkin89 @WolfofOdin420

Laguz rowed his boat over to Perthro. "It appears our paths are one and the same," he called to the gambler. "Climb in and take an oar."
— Perseus Greenman (@futharkvillage) November 11, 2019
Perthro climbed in, and soon they were speeding upstream much faster than either of them could have done on their own. #futharkvillage
As Laguz and Perthro rowed farther upstream, the mountains loomed larger and larger in front of them. Look though they may, however, they could not see where their stream had come from: there was no river flowing down the mountainside.#futharkvillage

"Sit down!" Laguz shouted as Perthro dropped his oar and stood in the little rowboat. "You'll capsize us, and we'll both have to swim!"

But Perthro paid him no mind. "Look, Laguz! A cave! This stream is coming out of that cave in front of us!"#futharkvillage
"Yes, Perthro, I see it, now SIT!" Laguz commanded. Perthro picked up his oar again and resumed rowing upstream. Soon they were entering the mouth of the cave. The darkness within was almost total, and Laguz recommended that they turn around and get the others. #futharkvillage
